Your travel by train from Zurich to Paris
Travelling between Switzerland and France is fast and enjoyable on the TGV Lyria. The high speed train travels between Zurich and Paris in 4 hours more or less. The trains offer air-conditioned carriages and two levels of service. First class passengers enjoy drinks and a light meal served in-seat. There’s a buffet car with refreshments too and all seats are spacious and comfortable.
Zurich station is clean, modern and well-connected located in the heart of the city. Arriving in Paris, Gare de Lyon station is large and spacious and passengers will easily find public transport for onward travel including taxis, the Paris underground lines 1 and 14 and RER A and D, as well as buses on hand to take visitors to their hotels or meetings. Onward travel from Gare de Lyon is easy, with transfers to Gare du Nord taking between 30 and 45 minutes.
Between Zurich and Paris on the TGV Lyria, a point to point ticket is a good option, but for travellers exploring further afield throughout France on the TGV trains, there are other options. For example, France Rail Pass for unlimited train travels in France or the Eurail Select Pass for travel in five bordering countries.
